Free Seeds from Kampi

It's planting time, well ... almost. It's still a bit cold but I have already started to plant.

What did I plant? Lot of stuff. I like Cilantro. It tastes so good with a lot of dishes. I planted lot of them.

If you would like to have some cilantro seeds, email me or write a comment here and I will send you some seeds, not much but some .. of course as long as I have money for postage.

Planting is fun but it's hard work. As i am so tiny the shovel is so heavy to lift. I don't think there are smaller ones.

I think I have done a good job. I hope they will grow and I can eat lot of Cilantro. It's so exciting when they start coming out.

If you plant, let me know about it.

What is 2 + 2 ?

Yes what is 2 + 2 ?

You think you know the answer? Think well before you answer. Think very carefully.

Give me your answer in the comment section or by email.

You will be surprised by my answer.

Message To Hannah Jones From Kampi

My dear little Hannah,

I am so happy that you are getting better from your heart transplant. As I watched the story unfold on TV I thought you were going to die.

I was relieved when you finally made the choice to live and the operation turned out a success even though you were in rather critical condition.

it was like watching a fairy tale where the little princess was saved by a handsome blue bear from the mouth of the big bad dragon.

I give you a big hug,

Kampi

What Do You Do If Your Mom Does Not Listen To You?

We all have that problem.

Our moms just don't want to listen to us.

We tell them what our views are and they get into a fit. They start yelling at us and do not want to listen anymore.

Why are they like that? Can't they be less emotional? Dads are sometimes worse. They could smack us on the head if we try to express our views further.

What should you do under those circumstances?

As a professor I am going to teach you how to handle those situations.

First, NEVER shout back!.

Or you are going to get smacked and you don't want that. Forget about your karaté you have learnt. It won't work. Beside you should never lift your hand against your parents. Better get smacked.

Second, Keep quiet!

Your best defense is invisible bullets. Even if you know you are right and they are totally wrong and what they are saying are rubbish, do not allow one single word to come out. I repeat, NOT ONE SINGLE WORD!

Because if you do, you will get fired with a machine gun. When they ask you for an answer, they are really not asking for it. Trust me on that. Don't fell into the trap. Whatever you say, they will hammer you. They are like volcanoes ready to burst at the slightest provocation.

The best strategy is to KEEP QUIET until they finish all the talking. You know when they finish when they tell you to go to your room.

Then go, do not reactivate the volcano. Let them cool down at least with one night sleep.

Third, find a quiet private time with your mom. Only do that when her mood is good.

Tell her you understand how she feels and how she looks at it. Enumerate each of her concern. And maybe she is right. Mom and dad do care for us and want to protect us. Talk to her gently. Propose her something which would alleviate her concern.

Let say, you want to go to a party. Tell her that you will call her every hour and you would be back home at a certain time and of course you will not have sex. Tell her that if you were in her place you would react the same way because you are afraid something bad could happen. If she sees you are on the same mind as her, she would try to be understanding to you too.

Remember parents are like little children. You have to show them love and concern. Often time you might have to take the first step. And when they feel reassured and loved, they will grant you a lot of favors.

Last, but not least, Don't disappoint them. You have to earn their trust once they give it to you.

Else there will be nothing you can do next time if they don't listen to you.

Listen to professor Kampi.

Kampi Welcomes The 2010 Paralympic Winter Games

As a bear I can tell you the Paralympic Winter Games are as important as the Olympic Winter games.

It will bring tears to your eyes and joy in your heart as you watch those handicapped men and women compete to show the world and to themselves that they are still part of the human race.

For most of us the world crumbles down if we become a handicapped. However the Paralypic games show that the world is still there and waiting for us.

Life is not over. It's still full of fun and exciting.

What is great about the paralympic is that it gives hope to those who have no hope. And it inspires us, bears who are not handicapped.

Yes, Bravo to the Paralympic participants!!!!

What Are Sweeter Than Kids?

Kids give us a hard time. They are always demanding. They want this, they want that. They want the latest fashion. They really think money grows from trees. They only think for themselves. If they don't get what they want, they sulk.

Yet we love them. We try to give them as much as we can. We feel happy when they are happy. They are our sweethearts.

Yes there is nothing sweeter than kids. We can even get toothache by chewing them too much.

When a kid gives you a smile from the heart, it's like sipping maple syrup.

Please Don't Kill The Seals

I like seals. They are so sweet and cute. They live peacefully and do not hurt others.

Yet they are hunted and slaughtered. At least we, bears, know how to fight back and make them run if they come to us.

But the poor seals have no chance. They are clubbed to death so that they can be eaten.

Who wants to eat bear meat?

Let them come and we"ll see who is going to be eaten first.

Let's be nice to the seals. After all they are like me.

Petsi And Tim

Petsi was shocked. Somebody took the key. Who can that be? What is he going to tell the little boy?

He looked all around, making sure that the key didn't fall down somewhere. On the floor there was a black patch. It was like something had burnt.

When Petsi told the little boy what happened, the boy's face turned white.

"Don't worry, we"ll find it again", Petsi reassured the boy.

"No, we will never find it again. It has disintegrated", the boy wept his eyes.

"How can that be? I am not a human, so it should still be here", Petsi shook his head.

"I don't understand. What am I going to do now?"

"I will help you. But what's your name? Mine is Petsi", Petsi looked at the sad little boy.

"Tim", replied the boy, "What are we going to do now?".

Petsi And The Key

There was a key with the nuts. How come? Who put the key there? Petsi thought he was losing his mind. Did he put the key there without knowing?

"Petsi! Where are the nuts? Is it for today or for tomorrow?", Petsi heard his mother yelling again.

"I'm coming mom", Petsi took hold of the key and ran up the tree. He needed to find out what that key was for. But first he had to give his mom the nuts, Else she would get upset.

That night as he was lying on his bed and wondering about the key, he heard a noise in the garden. He looked out of the tree and saw a little boy digging under the apple tree.

It must be him who hid the key, Petsi thought. The little boy started to cry as he dug deeper and deeper.

Petsi felt sorry for him. He scrambled out of his hole and ran to the boy.

The boy was startled to see the squirrel.  His eyes lighted up, That squirrel must have taken it.

"Please give me back the key", the little boy pleaded to the squirrel with teary eyes. "Otherwise I cannot go back home".

"Sure I"ll give it back to you, but why did you hide it here?", Petsi inquired.

"This key is a secret key. It opens the door to the land of Wupet, I'm from there", the boy looked at Petsi in the eyes.

Petsi could not believe his ears ...  secret key, land of Wupet. What's going on here? He must be in a dream.

The little boy continued, "I cannot keep the key with me because it will disintegrate if it stays with a human being for more than one hour. That's why I buried it so no one can find it."

Petsi thought the boy had a great imagination and must have watched a lot of movies. Anyway he was going to give back the key and let him do whatever he wanted.

As he climbed back on the tree to pick the key, the key was gone.

To be continued.

The Story Of Petsi

I am going to tell you the story of Petsi.

Petsi is a little squirrel and he loves to watch little kids playing in the backyard. He loves little kids and is fascinated by them. He wishes he was one of them instead of being a squirrel.

He can then go to school and learn new things. He wishes he can read and write.

"Petsi! Bring me some nuts!", he heard his mom yelling. "Oh no! Nuts again! Everyday nuts, nothing but nuts ... I'm sick of nuts", muttered Petsi to himself.

He leaped down from the tree and landed on a bunch of dried leaves. He scratched his head trying to remember where he hid those nuts. There were so many holes he could have put them in.

"Aha! I remember now, it should be under that apple tree." Petsi preferred to bury the nuts in the ground than to keep them in the tree. They last longer when they are cool.

As he started to dig, the nuts appeared but there was something else. He was shocked, he could not believe his eyes.

To be continued tomorrow.

So Many Responses For Pens!

I am surprised that so many of you responded for the Free Pens. It will be a pleasure for me to send them to you.
Didn't I say Canadians? I got Americans too! I don't mind sending to Americans, they are so nice even though they lost.

The problem is the postage which is expensive. Please send me a stamped addressed envelope if you can, I will be more than happier to send it to you. I am not a Millionaire. I am just a bear. I write stories for kids, so that they behave.

By the way, it would be great if any of you could help me write little stories for kids on my blog. The kids will love it. Don't worry if it's not perfect. The kids don't care. It just needs a happy ending with a lesson they can remember for the rest of their life. Because of a simple little story you can make a child become better and happier. So send me any story you can invent.

I will do my best to send as many pens as possible. It makes me happy to see you happy.

Be patient. The pen is heavy to lift and I am so small. I hope I don't get back pain after putting so many of them into the envelopes.

Thank you for your great responses!

Here's my address for the stamped addressed envelope (if you can):
